CREAF’s new slogan: ecology moves us

23 de November 2018

A research centre’s 30th anniversary only happens once. We are celebrating ours with a new slogan.

Our new slogan!

Our new slogan!

The slogan is intended to convey that there are lots of discerning, dedicated, creative, rational people at CREAF.

CREAF’s new slogan refers to us, our mission and our research, be it in the open air, deep in a forest or high up on a mountain, or in a laboratory.

It is not only us who are moved by ecology though. Ecology moves the world; nothing can exist outside ecosystems.

We are all inescapably tied to nature’s cycles and processes. Our lives depend on water, nutrients, biodiversity, the climate, forests, microorganisms, elements, etc.

Our new slogan encapsulates hundreds of words and concepts suggested by CREAF’s staff to define the centre’s essence and the impact of our research. It reflects the three ideas expressed most frequently, which sum up our outlook:

  • At CREAF we work on science, on ecology.
  • Nature is our object of study.
  • Our future depends entirely on our ability to integrate with nature.

The slogan is intended to convey that there are lots of discerning, dedicated, creative, rational people at CREAF. As such, we are concerned about what lies ahead and want our research and knowledge to contribute to social and environmental progress for a fairer, sustainable future. We aim to move in that direction, with ecology as our driving force!
