Ecology and rural depopulation

The depopulation of the rural world has earned a place on the political and social agenda. The Spanish government and the Autonomous Regions have programmes to reverse or at least mitigate it. Even the European Union is drawing up strategies and action plans. There are many reasons for this.

BioAgora, biodiversity science for policy action

Science-informed policy action is necessary to protect biodiversity loss. In this context and with this intention, from today the European BioAgora project contributes specialized research in biodiversity to generate new knowledge, process the existing one and inform political decision-making at a European level.
